Nowadays, telephone is trully important for everybody to communicate. I cannot immagine how the world is going to work without telephones (this includes cell phones, voip, and regular land line).
For those who are always on the move, people can still reach you wherever you are on your cell. How about those who cannot afford cell phones? Google is working on it now in San Francisco.
Google is giving away free voicemail for homeless, in hope that they can get a return call from their job interview. I think it's a very great idea because once they can find a job, they can have a more stable lifestyle, and perhaps get an apartment.
