Alcatel-Lucent goes to Beijing

Alcatel-Lucent announced that the company has won networking contract with Beijing Netcom. The Franco-American telecom equipment maker will supply next-generation telecom network in Beijing. Alcatel-Lucent will provide supplies for the new network, which will allow for video telephony services in the Chinese capital. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed. Beijing Netcom is  a subsidiary of China Netcom.
